How It Works

When you call the hotline at 877-565-4482, our Virtual Assistant will ask you three questions. You can respond either by speaking or by using the number keys on your phone.

Information You’ll Need

Before calling, please have the following information ready:

  • The ZIP code you used on the document submitted at the Live Scan location
  • The last four digits of your Social Security Number
  • Your Date of Birth

What to Expect

If the Virtual Assistant finds a match, it will confirm your identity by verifying your first and last name. Once confirmed, you’ll be given the date you passed your background check to become an IHSS provider in Los Angeles County, along with the next steps to take.

Speaking to a Live Agent

  • During Business Hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM):
    If the Virtual Assistant determines that you need to speak with a live agent, your call will be transferred to our Provider Services Department.
  • After Business Hours:
    If assistance from a live agent is needed after hours, you’ll be transferred to voicemail. Please leave your name, call-back number, and a brief message. Your call will be returned the next business day during office hours.
